I guess you could try NWO first, since it's free to play.

I don't think that ESO will be free to play, probably it will follow the same model GW2 had (Buy to Play)

I plan to play both; but being able to play a Drow trickster Rouge, that can actually use a whip of fangs as a weapon is very "appealing" to me; basically my friends can replicate our PnP game virtually, and that opens up many possibilities for role playing.

I like TES, but D&D always wins hands down for me.

Since NWO is free to play, I'll likely play both, unless Elder Scrolls Online is a monthly subscription game, in which case I'd have to REALLY like it, and devote time to it almost exclusively to make the cost "worth it". That's why I love the Free to Play games that are so common now-a-days. There's no ~obligation~ to log on and play.

There's no question whether ESO will be F2P; the only question is whether they'll suffer through an unfortunate period of subscription first, followed by a shaky F2P conversion, or have the vision to do the right thing for the market up front.

Both. If one turns out to blow you can always drop it and focus on the other later. Also...

...gotta have to agree with this. It WILL be F2P or B2P at some point like every other MMO these days. Question is whether they have the foresight to do it right from the begining rather than start out with a sub on the vague but doomed hopes of earning a steady monthly income then have to scramble for the inevitable F2P or B2P convertion at some point.

Neverwinter now.. Elder Scrolls when it's out (which is likely not to be until the very end of the year or pushed back to 2014).

Play them all as I do. SWtoR on Monday, TERA on Tues, Champions Online on Wed, Star Trek Online on Thurs... one benefit of F2P.

This is why I play exclusively F2P MMO's. I have never liked the way subscription games make me feel as if I have to get my money's worth. It's like eating at a buffet. I end up eating far more then I enjoy.

Everquest Next... Thats mine most anticipated game currently by far. If ESO and EQN launch in same window, I go for EQN most definitely. Basically Im hoping Planetside 2 style Fantasy game from EQN, of course alot more standard MMORPG stuff like raids, pve, pvp etc. Just imagine huge giant continents, where you can fly, ride, walk around.

Ditto. Everything else is just a "placeholder".

Out of the 2 in the OP, I'll stick with NWO. ESO is basically an updated DaoC, and I never really like that. Until then I am enjoying a nice slow journey with my SK in EQ2, visiting all the dungeons I had skipped over the years.
