Alright, so... despite my disdain for 4.0 I'm really of the opinion this game is going to be pretty awesome. I will probably cave and jump aboard rather quickly, if only for the foundry.
Now, here's my question. I'd like to consider myself a known author on STO's Foundry by my old STO account name of XR-377. Since there is going to no doubt be some crossover from that game to this one I am hoping that helps pull people towards my missions/quests/whatever NW calls them. Problem is, when I needed to merge my PWE account and STO account I had to pick a different name, one that is vastly different than both my Forum name and my STO account name.
Is there any way to set up a NW account to have a specific name or is it going to default to my PWE account now? Am I going to need to build up my DM cred from scratch?

If you linked your STO account, all info will be saved from that, but your name is the PWE one from now on on things like the boards, etc most of the time. I used to be the-truthseeker here for example. HOWEVER, in GAME, your old Cryptic account name MAY still be recognized. Considering the trickiness of this, plus things that I know which are currently proprietary, it woud be best to make a trouble ticket if you need to "restore" or "check" your old name. They can either do so or say it can't be done or say your community forum name is changed but your keep your old Cryptic name in game, etc.
And I'm pretty sure many STO Foundry people will also test this Foundry here, and hope to see you there too should you and I have the honor of being accepted!
