beta

this may be a dumb question but ive been looking into this game for the last few months or so and really cant wait to play it, and i was just worndering when dose the (CBT) start i have a beta key and im ready to download and play i even check the site every day to see if i can yet but im never so lucky i guess

    Well you aren't alone there. I'm checking every day too and have been watching and waiting for over... 2 years I think.

    And I don't even have a beta key yet :D

    Latest I've read is beta starts sometime in Sep-Dec 2012.

    That doesn't mean there won't be a last minute announcement of another delay tho...

    Per Stormshade, Closed Beta has not yet been announced and no keys have been sent for it as of yet (or any keys received are not active.)


    Any further questions I will update on my FAQ once we have new information. Unfortunately we do not as of yet, but I expect new things to start happening after this Labor Day Weekend!

    Like iamtruthseeker said we should get some kind of news in the next few days or weeks.

    There's no guarantee that news will be "the beta is open". There's a cance it'll be "the beta is delayed". But that's the ride :D

    The beta cannot be delayed because it was never announced in the first time. All they have said that the game will be released in 2013 with open beta a couple of months before that. No close beta date was announced (except for soon...)

    So if they delay, it can only be release date and not beta.

    Exactly. But the end of a major con, holiday and (unofficially speaking until September 22) season often brings about change for just one event, let alone three, and while we can't say what will come when, except some changes to begin. Without going into specifics, I'm sure there will be some updates here in the next few weeks, but I'll wait and see before further comment.

    Please people, nobody wants anybody to shut up, and I just went through this on another thread where I was one of those in that perception but wasn't asking that, (so I have some precedence here.) Both aides actually are saying the same thing.


    The beta was never officially released, and then the full game's release was delayed to early 2013 making the beta by proxy delayed even though an official beta start date was never released.


    Nothing pains me more when there is a violent agreement.

    LOL... Well I did read it, soak my head, go to bed, read it again, have something to eat and then read it again... And it still read like gillrmn was for some reason annoyed with me.

    But meh. It's entirely possible I misread his post. If that wasn't his intent please consider this an unconditional apology :D

    If my post came across in a bad way I apologize and was not annoyed or had any negative emotion towards anyone. In fact when I wrote it, I had no emotion at all - was just trying to state facts. As written posts don't deliver intent, let me clarify the post had no intent at all. Maybe towards cryptic as they haven't announced dates but keep saying early this, soon and other words.

    That said, I am mildly annoyed by cryptic, not from anyone in community. The community here is quite nice and in my honest opinion, cryptic has done nothing to deserve such a good community which has formed here...

    In any case I appreciate your clarification and sincerely offer my unconditional apologies for taking offense :D
