Hey all, I'm really looking forward to being a part of the Neverwinter community.
I'm especially curious as to how the crafting will be. I've tried many MMOs that just do not appeal because of either lazy crafting, or not having enough non-combat things to do.
Good instances in some games I've played we're farming, mining, cooking, hunting, skinning, hide tanning or cutting down trees for wood. It's nice to have a break from the combat sometimes.
What would be really a game changer for me is house construction. I pay gold to the loggers for wood to craft house decorations until I level enough to build shacks, then houses, then manors, then mansions. Sometime in there creating a website for my house construction services in that game. If you could build shops and taverns run by hired NPCs or run it yourself, that would be pretty epic.
Anyways, those are just some of my thoughts. It's seems that 90% of MMOs are WoW clones and based solely on combat, which is fun, but not nearly as immersive as a game that has alternative forms of play.
The live-action combat looks awesome and I cannot wait to see what else is in store for Neverwinter.

Greetings redtophats and welcome to Neverwinter!
We know there will be in-game crafting but details on that are still tight lipped. I too would not like it to be any way a WoW clone.
As for outside the game combat, I like fishing. Hopefully, we can have the option of using such skills as we both mentioned to make things and like the idea of "house building" too! It kind of takes me back to the old Might and Magic building your castle days.
Keep posting those great ideas and see you around!
Fishing would be awesome! If it leveled up like every other skill you could eventually catch bigger fish that you could sell for more. Better yet, you would be more likely to catch one of those rare fish that Alchemists can use for extremely rare, and expensive, potions.

Love it.
