Old Skool gamer, took the Cyber Troll monicker when I joined the internet in 1992, before I knew what a Troll was in the IT world.
I had the nickname "Troll" from my PnP gaming friends back in the 70's and 80's, and felt simply adding Cyber to the front of it, to account for my online persona would be cool.
That said, it is not because of my looks, social skills (Or lack thereof) or hygeine that I got called Troll. (All those are anything but Trollish) It was because my name is REAL close to Troll, and if the word Troll is spoken in Spanish, it sounds like my name.
I have been playing PnP games since 1979, when I was introduced to Chainmail and D&D by a friend. I have been DM'ing such games since shortly after starting to play.
Before that, I played Avalon Hill games with my Uber Geek friends. I have not played any PnP games for almost a decade, sticking solely to NWN1 and NWN2 PW's for my fix. What I get for taking jobs in Gamer Hell locations.
