Dragonfire DoT bug

I recently obtained a Dragonfire combat item from the Combat Item Choice Bundle v1 (1050 zen). While testing it in combat, I discovered that its tooltip is misleading; the number of Fire damage ticks that actually procs is only 3, while the tooltip stipulates 6 ticks of Fire DoT.

This effectively reduces the total damage output from the item and renders the tooltip misleading.

It is a bit hard to tell how many Conjured Fighter you faced and how many times you use Dragonfire in your log.

In my own test, I faced one mini boss enemy. I fought it right after I login. I only did one attack, Dragonfire. I disabled my companion. The following is what I gathered for the text 'Scorch' from my log.
