It's been around 2+ years since I played last and I can't remember where to go and what to do when I get there. Of course someone is going to say "Follow the quest path.". I don't have a quest path! That's the problem. When I do get a quest path and follow it it dead ends somewhere with no clues as to what I'm to do next. Someone will say: "look at the quest info on your screen"...that isn't any help to me without a quest path to the place or thing I'm supposed to interact with or battle.

I'm a level 20 Ranger (Hunter) but I'm as clueless as a noob. It's frustrating.

depending on what platform you're on.. open your quest journal, then go to the feather (on PC) that is the campaign / adventures tab.. make sure you complete all adventures. that'll be a good start then go to campaigns.

Thanks, I'm on PC. I've looked there and the only options I have are to continue, which gives me a dead end quest path (no clue what I'm supposed to do when I get to the end of it), or abandon. I'll check again. Maybe I missed some that I could complete and get off the quest queue thing on the screen.

I don't see anything I've missed. When I continue a story quest it leads me to a dead end with zero hints as to what I'm supposed to do. I'm not going to let this keep frustrating me I'll just go back on hiatus from this game :P

Use your secondary character slot to find back into the game, then optimize your beloved ranger!

Also: Associate with new friends, so to get help and support, or info, when needed.

Learn the Skyhold shortcut, if purple and orange gear of ilvl 2800 & 3025 are still upgrades to your characters. HE's, minibosses, and the campaign store or vendors on map will do.

Also: Gather boon points and guild boons, and do not forget to press C for character menu, go boon page and actually SPEND boon points & select guild boons by clicking on them!

Last but not least: Have fun! Rangers are formidable DPS, and while I prefer the Warden's lightning arrows (base attack boost), I have seen hunters really giving multiplayer bosses sniper tickets into early graves. ;)
