This game is nuts help please.

I made a post of this but then thought this should be in the bug report probably. I upgraded to pieces of armor from 2000 to 2700-but a reinforcement on one-same as what I had for 800 and my item level went down from 95 something to 89,000. My stats are all in the red on the top and I wanted a higher item level to maybe make them green not red. How is this possible?
