Bard Quick Play Xbox

I have played the bard for about a year and never used quick play because I didn't want to lose any of the added bonuses from manual play. I decided to give quick play a try and it doesn't seem to work. I thought you put the quick play song in slot 1 and during combat play mode hit RT. Nothing happens. So perhaps I am not assigning the song correctly. Any ideas folks?
