Defending the Dale quest not available

At some point the Defending the Dale quest stopped showing up for me in Brynshander. Makes it very difficult to advance in Storm Kings Thunder because most of the quests require you to have or complete that quest.

Can it be you did not finish the previous 'Defending the Dale' quest?
The requirement of finishing that quest would be changed depending on how far you are in the campaign progress.

In the beginning, you need to do 3 quests in Bryn Shander.
In the final stage, you need to do one quest in each 3 zones.



Did you check the Quest journal?

You need to check the journal section of all 3 zones. In the beginning, the quest shows up in Bryn Shander section. In the final stage, the quest shows up in Cold run section (although you acquire the quest in Bryn Shander).

I checked my quest journal in every area related to ice wind dale, bryn shander, lonelywood, cold run, etc. It's not anywhere. I actually checked every area of my journal. It's not listed anywhere.
