Look, I know I can't be the only person that's sick of sitting in a queue for an hour because the queue can't find a tank.
DO NOT RESPOND WITH "just go find other people to play with" or variations on that theme. If it were that simple, it would already be happening.
Two fixes that might help.
1. Let ALL CLASSES ACCESS ALL ROLES. If you're NWO and you're dumb enough to say that a Paladin can't be a DPSer, for god's sake,
1a. There is NO IN GAME REASON why any class can't play any role. You just have to give enough of a damn about the game development to do it.
For example, the whole concept that an HR Warden doubles their MELEE at will damage by triggering an encounter power is ludicrous. RANGERS ARE NOT SUPPOSED TO STAND NEXT TO SOMETHING AND TAKE THE BEATING. They aren't designed for it. At LEAST, double the at will damage from ranged AND melee. But there's no reason why an HR couldn't be a healer or tank, either. If you're going to design an HR that has to stand there and take the beating so he can dish out melee damage, give him some tanking ability FFS!
2. Give the Tank role the ability to completely block red attacks and counterattack while opponents are disoriented from it. Greatly increase the damage done by a tank during a counterattack.
2a. When I'm running around with my paladin tank (this thing came from so long ago that it was called a burnadin) I'm basically useless unless I'm in a dungeon or instance that requires a tank to be there. Yes, I've seen Aragon's DPS build. It doesn't solve the base problem. What you currently have now in NWO is a binary solution set. Either a) the tank is useless in normal content or b) the tank has short periods of time when it absolutely has to be there. Neither of these is fun to play.
In closing:
The only reason I'm posting this is for the devs to see. I am not interested in feedback from any player and have flat out told the support queue people that me having to post this here is broken on their part.

You have sligh error with your ideas.
Neverwinter online based on D&D lore, and this IP ( intelectual property) belong to Wizards of the Coast.
It's not cryptic decide do paladin can be dps or not.. Cryptic studio can only play as much as license agreement allow them. They can choose between D&D edditions, and do slight adjustments, nothing more. The classes are defined by D&D lore and cryptic simply are bound to follow set rules by IP owners.
Now how save Tanks and Neverwinter online in general...
The very idea to save tanks and in this way save Neverwinter is wrong idea from very start..
It's not x class saving required. But a proper game balance and fixing.
And just to let you know, there are 2 ways to balance classes.
1) class itself - adjust cool downs, damage values, addint/removing certain class feaures/mecahnics.
2) Through content - if game is easy, and dps classes wipe group of enemies, means tanks/heal services are not required. There for majority players preference will be dps classes..
But if game contnet is more dificult, for dps player will need someone to keep enemies/mobs keep bussy ( keeping aggro). There for tanks get in postion,, but hold on, you will also will need someone to heal you and rest of group.. So healers become welcome and desired in content run..
Over all, Neverwinter online simply need update scaling system. We got expansion after expansion. The bottom line get uplifted stat/IL wise.. There for most content players speedrun through most of game content without any issues, and in this way tanks and healers become in bad position. I mean what the point to have tank who's not even needed?? It's become sort of burden. That's why due current game situation dps classes are more attractive.
It's not tanks fault, neither healers. It's simply that due recent class buffing hysteria, classes and whole game balance went off track.
When comes over all game saving.. Well that my friend is whole new topic on it's own. It would cover not just situation in the game, but game development, managment, and even marketing.
But just to let you get some insight whats going on in mmo industry. The fastest growing and most profitable market at this moment is more less mobile platform. As there are more mobile decives than pc's/laptops/consoles combined.
And due current technology advances Neverwinter as it is now is incapabe to compete even with mobile games.
