Stuttering/freezing then unfreezing issues

My desktop started experiencing stuttering, where the game freezes for about .5-2 seconds then unfreezes. It happens about every 10 seconds, but happens more as I try to play. This is the only game that this is happening on (I have tested six others, all of them released within the last 3 years, some new games). This only happens on my desktop, and Alienware with an RTX3090 graphics card, laptops are fine, including a lower end Dell.

Anyone else experiencing this?

    Also, I have uninstalled and reinstalled twice. The second time I deleted all local files and downloaded the whole 14Gb game.

    Bring up the task manager and monitor the resource level of both RAM and disk.
    The chances are:
    1. it is hitting the disk heavily.
    2. It keeps on taking memory.

    If (1), it will end.
    If (2), restart the program. Make sure the program does exit completely (use the task monitor to check and not just base on it disappears from the screen) before bringing it up again.

    By the way, I assume your desktop has enough memory.

    Thanks, checked that before I uninstalled the program. Waited about ten minutes and behavior only gets worse. I had previously had issues with the audio not stopping when closing the program, but that stopped a few weeks ago. Plenty of memory, disk space and RAM.

    Check your startup programs and make sure nothing is running which you aren't aware of.
    Apparently pointing-out the bleeding obvious is a 'personal attack'.

    That was it. For some reason Microsoft Teams was installed and added to the list of apps to run during start up.
