Castle Ravenloft's Throne room insta-death!

Well, I am befuddled...for the last, about 2 months maybe...whenever I enter the Throne room in Castle Ravenloft...1 to 10 steps later I insta-die ...no-one touches me...nothing that would make sense...no revive, just dead.
Carrying the light sword does not seem to affect that one way or the other.
It can happen 3,4,5 times in a row until eventually it lets me through!
I just dont even begin to start to understand how that could be! Only on my account? Is that a curse of sorts?
I've written a ticket and am writing this at the request of the representative I chatted with!
Does anyone else experience this?
I dont get it...and it is very frustrating cause it revives you very far from there, only to get back and insta-die again!
