Unbound Pres Wards Becoming BtC When Transferred Into Inventory

I was upgrading some stuff today and needed a few preservation wards. I had some already in my inventory that were BtC but I needed more so I pulled some out of the bank which were all unbound.
However, when I upgraded something the entire lot of wards combined into one group that are all now BtC. So I have have like 50 wards now that I can't use with my alts. It's no big deal as I can just use these on this character over time but I could see how it could really be a mess you wanted to put them back into the bank for alts.
