Stronghold Decoration Request

keaton1#2431 keaton1 Member Posts: 34 Arc User
Hello,

Since the removal of Master-crafting I-II-III, any guild which has been working on the stronghold has been unable to craft certain decorations. There sould be a way to once again craft rugs and runners, none of which are obtainable in game currently outside the auction house. The prices for the very few there are on the auction house are ridiculously high. Tailors and leather workers should be able to craft the rugs and pelts. Alchemists should be able to craft dye. Since these recipes were removed without any way to obtain any sort of these items from other sources, it would be nice if the old decoration recipes were retooled and given to the regular level 20 artisans to produce.

Thanks,

Motodo

I had no idea the rug recipes had been deleted. I am currently ranking up a tailor specifically to make rugs and runners for my Stronghold.

At least certain (if not all) recipes were not removed.

I have not checked if the materials are still obtainable though. Most likely, not.

What about the materials needed to make them?

None of that should have been removed.
I'm not looking for forgiveness, and I'm way past asking permission. Earth just lost her best defender, so we're here to fight. And if you want to stand in our way, we'll fight you too.

Whether you can still see the recipes might depend on whether you have traded in your old recipe books or not...
As for the materials... even if you still have those recipes, the basic ingredients are not available :(
I seem to remember Samite was very expensive, needing many items derived from gold ore (from whispering caverns explorer charts).

If you never traded in the recipes for the original Master Crafting, you some of the recipes are there. You cannot craft or purchase the ingredients any longer as the recipes for the crafted materials were removed same as the ones purchased from the master craft vendors.

If you preview the recipes you will find no decorations which can be crafted by leather workers or tailors.

Final recipes were left in if you didn't turn in your recipe books, but all the intermediate ones were removed. It is still possible to craft stronghold decor, IF you can find the materials, which has gotten harder and harder as old stockpiles have been used. I've managed multiple pelts, fireplaces, a few rugs and runners and even two full sets of oak cathedra. Some items, like statues or the lesser fireplaces, only need standard crafting item and/or items purchased for guild marks.

But yes, barring a complete stronghold revamp soon-ish, "modernizing" the recipes to use Chult ingredients in place of older chart materials would be a really nice thing to see.

Some Materials are obtainable, yet only about 20-25% thru the Stronghold Temporary Merchants for Guild Marks, yet they really should expand it to the remaining missing 75-80% Materials.

That would be easy enough to do if they added the missing uncommon, rare, epic (very rare) materials thru the available Temporary Vendors like Goldsmith, Leatherworker, etc.. Since the old Recipes are also no longer available they could also add Decorations for added Guild marks thru those same Temporary Merchants as well.

So easy to do, yet they never have, which is kind of sad. :'(

My Guild Marks are currently capped at 50,000 and there is nothing I want to spend them on; except maybe materials &/or Decorations formerly from MC I II III that are no longer available for purchase.

I wish their was more positive feedback, having been a long time player; it's mostly because Queue times on most Random Queue's are so delayed. So I think my play time like many I know is only going to be greatly reduced moving forward.. :/

It's sad that they removed things but did half a job... all those collections entries that can't be filled any more.

I am using the last of my chultan materials (not master crafting) to make some wootz items to sell on the auction house. I'm deliberately making the non +1 version, so that people can use them to fill a collection slot. Those recipes are in the opposite situation... the basic ingredients still drop (from blue flowers, kills and HEs) but the intermediate recipes are gone.

PS, I just read through the patch notes for today's new module. They don't even mention the master crafting changes. At all.

They could also just add Stronghold Decorations back to each the Stronghold Temporary Vendors, and remove all the Mastercraft Materials to make it easier. The cost could easily be equivalent to that of the old Materials summarized into a Guild Mark cost, considering the chance of success for some of the Very Rare (Epic) Decorations as well.

It would be nice if they fixed the broken ones first.
