Runic Corruption in Undermountain

What is the purpose behind nerfing us so hard in the Runic Corruption battles? Is it really necessary? How about turn that off and let us fight a real fight against those guys in there so I can collect the resonance I need? Why put us in a situation where we burn a healthstone and still get killed after 3 or 4 hits? How about make this fun for solo players too instead of so frustrating to get through? Or at least put in a respawn point right next to these zones instead of making us run all the way across the zone every few minutes... Thanks!

In a zones around 20k to 25k its set to 15k. It have no extra reward itself, its needed to run expedition efficiently.
Not much crowd there, and hard to coordinate, as most players dont use zone chat there.
Question is - why puting such restricions in zone that supposed to be first stop after reaching lvl 20 ?

Those HE areas in undermountain have always been like that. Luckily you do not have to actually kill any enemies for a successful run. Used to literally just fight one or two enemies for five minutes and earn a lot of that currency there for the ME. Turns out my favorite one was where the enemy had super healing and I could just fight that one enemy for the duration. Also, you can pull weaker enemies into the HE area and fight them as well.

Because I have more than one toon at my disposal going to one of the lesser used areas was always my best bet as I could just cycle through 3 random toons I wanted to work on and get the full 5-minutes without having to worry about what other players were doing. Of course, back then I wanted something from ME for all toons and I had no problems doing that for an hour or so on 3 different toons.

Once I knew what I was doing my toons did not die as often and is apparently good practice if you intend to play as a tank as regardless of which toon you use if you wanted an easy run with minimal or no deaths you have to maintain your position in a small area without attracting the attention of the other monsters.

The way u r supposed to do those encounters is not kill anything at all if possible. Think of it like milking a cow for currency. The cow dies, no more currency and have to find a new cow. Just use the same cow. Only hit with at-wills and do not use encounters or dailies. Disable pets if they are active unless they disable/slow in some way and help u, but if they just do damage they're not what u want and u don't need them. The whole thing is counterintuitive at first where u r used to killing things as fast as possible and doing as much damage as possible, in this case it's the other way around and u want to keep them alive as long as u can. When I do these things I aggro one monster only off to the side where there is space and bring it to me and then just hit it over and over with at-wills while the currency drops which is the only reason ur doing it in the first place. Hopefully it stays alive a while. If it dies, get another one off to the side or where there are no other ones and don't aggro anything else if possible, and milk that one for all it's worth. If u aggro another one or two which is possible and likely, that's when it gets messy. But if u get swamped with them u can always run out of the zone so they stop and then go back in and pick a new target. The worst time is when someone else is in there and starts hitting your target and killing it fast with encounters and dailies. That just effs everything up and I usually go to another zone and try there on my own if possible. Unless everyone knows how it works (which is not likely these days) and if u can't be arsed explaining all the time, it's best to be in a instance on ur own and just do it solo.
Apparently pointing-out the bleeding obvious is a 'personal attack'.

If I remember, there are some pretty rare drops that can come from those monsters...
Silver something or other gear... useless, probably bound, but very scarce!

It dropped "Apprentice's Ruined" gear. They are useless (can't be equipped) and needs relic restoration to get rid of 'i' of 'Ruined' to become "Apprentice's Runed" gear which can be equipped but are still useless.
