Unbound Mounts Turning Into Bound

I have a few mounts that I have already opened and added to my stable but when I receive a new one (from the current lock box or move them into inventory from a guild bank ) if that original mount was bound when I opened it, the new one that enters my inventory will switch the previous unbound mount to bound to character.
For example, today I retrieved a “Sabino Horse” from my guild bank (that I had previously acquired via the Lolthian Lock Box) and one it went into my inventory it’s unbound status changed to “Bound Character Already Opened” and I can no longer sell it on the AH or use it in anyway. I can’t even sell it for gold. I have to discard it if I want it out of my inventory.
This greatly worries me as I have most of the Mythic mounts and if one drops from a lock box now will I be unable to sell it? Now I feel like I can't open any lock boxes just in case.
