Chatglitch - autoswap chatchannel randomly

Sometimes it happens that the chat is jumping forth and back, also during runs - no matter where. I cant really choose a chatchannel as the chatchannel changes automatically.
Ppl call for help and i cant even read it, as the chat window swaps to my "debug_dmg" chat or other - during a fight.
This is a glitch and can be resolved by relaoding the game completely. Not very helpfull if you are in middle of a dungeon.
It doesnt help only to change toon or instance. This is just another one of the hundret random glitches.

As this is a glitch - probably noone can recreate this on purpous as its a random occurance.

Is it something u have done with entering code in a chat channel to modify anything? Personally I have never in the almost 10 years I've played the game seen a chat channel tab swap over on it's own. But u did mention your debug channel so it was just a hunch.

I answered your question in previos comment that got removed while correcting spelling errors - once i hit "save comment" all gone.

The order seems to being a round robin which get counted through and the tabs order are changing depeding on what was marked last. Here are my chatsettings, and at the bottom you see its a total different order. The order in which they are shown changes often.




PS: I left private channel, reset all settings to default after i wrote above and restarted game... once i setup all again the bug started again. Swapped toon and realised its only that one toon. Further investigation I found out whats causing it after much testing.

The issue is caused by joining a private channel and create a special tab for that private channel.

The bug is also causing following:

• I cant drag and drop tabs - if i drag and drop (right mouseclick on the tab and hold, then drag it onto green arrows) it creates a new copy of the tab with the channelname+a number.
  
• Drag and drop tabs wont change the order of tabs.
  

Once i leave the channel and remove the tab >main glitch/bug is gone.

Does this issue also occur when adding any existing Game Channel to these tabs?

I have seen a similar issue with Bard Minstrel having changed chat channels after a fight. I can only imagine the song inputs - manually done on number pad - are affecting it.

Now my post was removed cause someone commented, while i was editing spelling errors, when i hit "save comment" - all gone. ...hours and hours wasted. (had many details)

Its nothing i typed or added in chat or game - i never used makros or even binds. I reset all to default to start with. By that i dont think its related to @pitshade issue

Couldnt recreate the issue at first, but amount of tabs is related to the issue as well - managed to trigger the bug later on by adding more tab,
The whole chat tab thing is buggy.
Bunch of combos are causing it - i cant say whats causing it anymore.

Later on i couldnt get rid of the bug anymore even with reset - i needed to restart game to get it back to normal. (also part of the problem - its a combination - so clean tests arent possible once i triggered it - makes me go crazy when debuggin)

PS: before i described combintations and more tests in details - but dont wanna waste writning it all again, cause some forum automation (doesnt work properly) erased my comment second time already.
