OK i am so confused about reinforcements and enchantments. I used to be able to right click my gear and add a enchantment but now it says reinforcement. And the enchants now have a separate panel. I have enchantments but when I click on a panel it says I don't. I really don't understand this. Also to upgrade them I really need to but items in the z store?

What kind of enchantment do you have? Is it "Ancient"? If it is, they are obsolete.

OK I admit I don't know what they are but they could be old.

Hi Jafaru. They 're-worked' the entire enchantment system back in Jan 2022 (according to my old emails when they unceremoniously ripped them all out of my gear and put them in my mail) and made the existing enchantments obsolete (all obsolete ones now have the name 'ancient' before the main name), bringing in a totally new system with all new enchants. If an old enchantment is rank 10 or over you can still trade it in at the antiquities scholar up the top of the map for currency towards new enchants, but if it's under rank 10 it's basically just RP now or donate to your Stronghold coffer.

When you click your gear now you only see the reinforcement kit slots and not enchants (reinforcements work the same as they always did, you take your gear out and put it in your inventory, right click the reinforcement and choose apply and then click directly onto the gear to apply, the difference now is you can reapply new ones over the old ones which was not the case before), and they no longer get slotted in your gear pieces, they now have their own slots (found by going to C character page, above your name are two tabs, 'gear' and 'enhancements', click the enhancements tab and you will see all the slots they go in, the one exception is the companion enchant, which is on the companions page) and are in all the time no matter what gear you put on or take off. -One of the better changes. There is also no more cost to un-slot an enchant like there was before so you can move them around at will for free.

They are very expensive to get now, some people will argue that the new ones at lowest rank are higher in stats than the previous high ranked ones, but they are still harder to get and more expensive than they were before, in my opinion. You can find them for sale at Braddas shop, or on the Auction House (where they're slightly cheaper). You also get 2 free ones from Adventure zones, look at your journal under the adventures tab and you will see the rewards at the bottom for a couple of them have a rank 1 choice chest there. Do those zones and u'll have 2 to start with.

The new Menzo district also has new kinds of enchants if u are able to go there, they only just came out recently with the new mod.

As far as leveling them up goes, don't waste your time with pres wards, the rank-up system has also changed and you now need wards to save your currency in all slots there are and we now also have motes instead of wards, which are like mini coal wards and give a better chance at success ('standard mote' etc), but in my experience and in the experience of others, it's now just cheaper and better to get a coal mote (this is what an old coal ward is now called -exact same thing 100% success chance) and use that, on the AH they go for between 700k to 1kk usually so u can get them organized with your daily AD refine of 100k if you can wait and be patient. The other currencies needed have also changed, I won't go into all those, but you can find them in Sybellas store when you hand in your legacy quest things or in the AH, you'll work all that out anyway.

Oh, forgot to add that when you get an enchantment to mythic, you now have the option to turn it in to the Reward Claims Agent and make it claimable on all characters, a good way to gear up multiples much cheaper, but bear in mind they become character bound and you can no longer sell or trade them to others.

Oh one more thing, what used to be armor enchants and weapon enchants got removed, we now have 'combat' and 'bonus', although the combat one is really the only one applicable to what we used to have, so basically they stopped us having an offense one slotted (which would have been in your weapon) at the same time as a defensive one (slotted in the armor). Now you have to choose one or the other which imo is not a good change at all and makes us all worse off. The visual appearance effect of armor and weapon enchants has now been turned into an 'Illusion' and has been split-off into it's own enchant which is purely cosmetic and gets slotted in the character appearance tab on the bottom right of the panel. Not all of them survived the change and some no longer exist (I think).

I don't know how much is considered expensive these days or what a rank 1 should compare with previous enchantment.
The cheapest rank 1 new enchantment is 16000 AD in AH. Way cheaper than the "official" price 100K AD in Sage shop.
If one compares new rank 1 with old rank 1, yes, it is expensive.
If one compares new rank 1 with old rank 14, no, it is not.

If one compares new mythic which can be converted to account wide, it cannot as low as 2.1 million AD in AH. It is a lot cheaper than an old single rank 14 used to be.

Maybe they don't want Jade and want Garnet. And I did qualify it that it was in my opinion and I'm allowed to have one.
