Stuck in the Caverns

Started Menzo and killed a bunch of things and the Spiders got me. Now I'm back at the beginning and stuck behind a blue wall. I don't see a way to get back to Jarlaxle and proceed with the quest.

What gives? How to get back to traversing the caverns. If I clear a boss shouldn't bhe blue wall disappear if I die after that?

    Strange, I replied to this yesterday and my reply is gone.

    Anyway, I had an alt die at the 3rd boss and couldn’t get through the barrier, either. Looking around, I noticed Jarlaxle and a campfire wasn’t there and that I was actually at the end of the area after the 3rd boss. I couldn’t fight him or exit normally. Having vip, I used a signpost to the same area (puts you at beginning of area), saw thecampfire and Jarlaxle and ran a long way to the 3rd boss, lol. Without a signpost, you may just have to start over.
