I am not understanding why base statistics for powers that each companion does is not displayed anywhere. I have like 50 companions now and it is a silly guessing game to know which ones are best to use.
For example, there are numerous mage companions, I would think they should all do either similar single target, aoe, or hybrid (2 skills in rotation) and since this is a D&D game (a dice rolled RPG) that they would tell us the numbers. Or if not all mages are created equal, show us in their stats. I mean, every piece of equipment and our own powers have all of this data, so these companions should, too.
There is only 1 person doing limited, dummy testing on only a short list of companions. Maybe the developers don’t realize that this is kinda important even if they only contribute a small percentage of our output?

This allows the company to make money selling companion skins/models for you to use to combine with your fashion preference. This in stead of the insane amount of companions that need to be tested. And many more left in disuse due to the current system being the way it is.
Example: " I enjoy having my Golden Lion next to me. But I can't use him, because my cat augment is superior in stats for my tanking".
At some point, the player's decision on what to use has to have an impact.
