There needs to be better way to manage Heroics

So much of this game is now tied into completion of various heroics, yet there is no real in-game me mechanism that an individual player has to manage this activity across instances, Switching instances and hoping for zone shout outs is truly a HAMSTER poor way to manage this. Why not instead have a queue for various heroics in the same fashion you manage heroic queues? There just simply needs to be a better way to keep your player base happy though ALL of this content. 95% is meaningless unless it is the current mod.
