Please Add Gear Loadouts

Feedback: PLEASE add gear loadouts! I LOVE the variety of items you guys have added for module 25, with the unique equip bonuses, but so many of them are situational and the headache of having to keep switching pieces takes fun away from just playing the game, not to mention inventory management. I want to "set and forget" a build, not have to micromanage entire loadouts, and then still have to manually swap out gear pieces, only to forget swapping something when getting ninja-invited to help out with a trial.

If you added gear loadouts where we could name a loadout and give it specific gear pieces, we could easily switch gear across all other main loadouts. This would be a massive quality of life and allow many of us the ability to enjoy the unique bonuses without having to switch out pieces manually. Please, consider what a few clicks over the course of a thousand could do for our fingies and mice.

They'll just tell you that you already have loadouts and can make a new one with diff gear and name it whatever you want.

True, already do that with DC and Paladin in addition to using them to follow the other paragon path (which I do with all toons) so I just switch to healer, dps or tank whenever without really having to do anything else unless I muck it up with the apply to loadouts options.

How is this different from what we have? Is it like an inner level of loadouts, within the existing system?

Almost no different except making stuff more complicated and confusing for both programmer and player.

if there are 2 main loadout and 5 different set of gear for "situation".

    Current system: 10 loadout.
What he proposed: 2 main loadout x 5 internal loadout.

For those who need to change loadout in the camp fire for the "situation":
    Current system: 1 loadout switch
What he proposed: 1 to 2 loadout switch.

Totally agree with pitshade on this - we should be able to whatever loadout as and whenever we want :)

I would like to see the current system changed to allow switching outside of campfires if not in combat. There are too many dungeons where there aren't campfires before and after bosses (CR, CN, FH, *NEW* TOS, etc...) as well as the continued importance of support in BHE. Dark and Worms HEs really need supports unless you have the entire instance there, yet the fires aren't close.

Additionally, allow loadout swaps regardless of artifact and belt slot cooldowns. If people are intent on swapping, the wait time is pointless. Transfer the cooldown to the new item, if applicable.

I think they should allow swapping loadout with Portable Altar when the character is not in combat.
That will make Portable Altar more useful for those who have VIP.
The current only usage of portable altar for those who have VIP is to clear the dead head (yours or your friends').

There's no reason why we can't swap loadouts while something is on a timer - for instance an artifact. We can already do it with mount combat powers. You can swap a loadout which has different mount combat powers slotted, if your mount combat power is on cooldown when you swap, the timer is transferred to the new mount combat power. It doesn't prevent you from swapping and you just wait until the timer goes down to use again.

Having to go to a campfire or 'safe area' to use loadouts is ridiculous, I've always thought so. Not sure how it would work technically speaking if you could change while actually in combat, but for sure you should just be able to run far away enough from the combat area so you go out of combat mode and change that way. I can't count the number of times I've been in the wrong loadout for a situation I've randomly come across on a map or I've come out of a dungeon boss fight back to where I was running around hitting mobs in open maps when the queue popped and now I'm stuck in boss loadout and surrounded by mobs making it much harder to clear them and keep going.

How fast can you change your outfit and your kit in the field irl?

As fast as I can sling fireballs at dragons, and summon divine powers to banish undead. Even Clark Kent is jealous since I don't need a phone booth.

Then get rid of VIP travel gates/banks/mailboxes and make everyone have to physically travel to them like you would in RL.

    Won't happen. Kills their income.
