Everyone is running the new dungeon, no one is running master crown of keldegonn, so there's no way i will ever get those weapons for it, ever. I have spent months asking in zone chat, guild chat, alliance chat, youtube etc, no one is running it. I've tried to organise with guild and alliance but only 2 or 3 ever say yeah okay, and no more. I really want those weapons, but they're out of reach purely because no one is running it anymore.
There needs to be another way to get the gems needed for them, even if it's a long grind i don't mind, I've even sat in a queue for it for a whole day and not once did it pop. so do i have to accept that people have moved on to the new dungeon and those last mod weapons are now unattainable?. Its stuff like that makes me switch the game off. I don't mind the difficulty, or the challenge or the grind, but when it's based on group participation and no one will participate because a new mod has been released it forces you to ignore parts of the game that you don't want to ignore.
Can you make another way to get the gems, even if the grind is loooong i don't care. Buy them with reapers marks for example, make bags of them available on the Zen store etc.
It's why I tried late December to create a new philosophy on Custom Channels, that aren't Private that requires proof you've completed each one first before being accepted, and also isn't dedicated to just one Master's content either.
So I created a new 'MasterHunters' channel that's fully public, yet like all new custom channels often it's slow the first few months to get word out & have people join.
Still I agree there aren't many even in the dedicated channels; simply because most are focused on MToS now...
Like you I'd very much like to get the Celestial Set, and yes even the Durgarn Thord Set!

I agree 150% on being able to get older stuff another way.
And also binding equipment to certain multiplayer content in general.
Yep, when a "thing" is new everyone does is and heroics for example can be completed as can new trials/dungeons etc
But yeah once the new "thing" comes along then the fact that certain stuff relies on multiplayer makes them virtually impossible to achieve.
For example Northdark Mod campaign currency 75 out of 100 points is 3 multiplayer activites [Heroics/Tower/Depths] I mean yeah they are possible to do solo but they arent designed to be run solo so the content creators want us to work as a team to complete them. At the moment that's great, but for anyone leveling through this in 3 months time its going to be a royal pain.
Depths is easier to solo as the mobs aren't as strong. It seems to follow the mod mod 11-13 model so with one or two characters, mobs are unchanged. Each additional character buffs the mobs with the fifth player causing additional mobs to spawn. I ran it in a group of five on my main cleric and could barely scratch the mobs. Ran it later solo on my weaker, second cleric and breezed through.
Tower doesn't seem to do that but I tend to solo it a lot to loot all the chests and skill nodes. For the large mob packs, it may be better to aggro them at range and then pull them somewhere so they group up. Otherwise it's hard to use AOE on the spread out mobs. If you run into the middle of them, you take a lot of damage, but if they are running at you and don't have CA, it's not nearly as much.

I so agree it would make this game so much more enjoyable if there were more than one way to get Valindra's jewels or alloys in DBV or someway to get the red jewels for the blaspheme gear etc. It's pretty frustrating when there seems to be always something preventing you from obtaining that goal.

Jewels aren't for the gear. Both weapon sets come from the bottom middle box in the campaign.
I'm not looking for forgiveness, and I'm way past asking permission. Earth just lost her best defender, so we're here to fight. And if you want to stand in our way, we'll fight you too.
