Masquerade “Join the clan…” quest bug

Masquerade “Join clan…” quest bug - I picked up the quest “Join clan…” during the masquerade and didn’t start the quest. The masquerade is now over and I’m stuck with the quest as it didn’t disappear when the event ended. Doing a Google search suggests this is an unresolved years old bug and I will be stuck with the quest (I’m on PlayStation so I can’t hide quests) until next year’s event. Is this correct? If so, please can a fox be applied before then!

I've got a similar problem except I actually completed plenty of masquerade quests with numerous characters but I still have the "join clan" quest incomplete and sat in my journal...

Also I've no idea which team won but the "fallen" mask (which is the team I selected) is showing as 1200 tokens and not free like in previous years so either that team didn't win or my quest is bugged...
