Repeated Crashes when adjusting resolution.

Ok, so i have returned after some time away. When i came back, the resolution was set to something ridiculous and the hud was unreadable.
So i go to change the resolution, and in doing so, the game crashes.
Restart, try again, it changes a few times but then crashes.
Trying to dial it in, crashes. Restart.
This happened about 5 times so it isn't just a one time bug.
