How to make Astral Diamonds: a small guide

Hello wonderful people,
I have recently returned after a very long break and noticed that the game has changed a lot.
I decided to write a short guide with the ways I generate Astral Diamonds (AD), hoping that other players, specially the new players, see it and stay longer.
Additionally, I believe all the ways I generate AD do* not harm the game long-term in any way, and I hope that publishing this will not cause changes that will negatively affect the playerbase (e.g. making an unbound item...bount to account and unsellable). Also, my argument to the previous statement is: sometimes I sell my progress in a part of the game, so I can progress in another part of the game that I find more important.
How to make AD:
1st: The daily 100 000 rough AD refinement (this is a very simple way to get at least 100k AD a day). Even your weakest character can benefit from this. Do a couple of random skirmishes and random dungeons and you will generate around 50k rough AD to refine. Then just open your inventory, go to the riches tab and click the "Refine" button.
2nd: Reaper's Challenge Greater Shard of Empowerment (the ORANGE one). Once you hit the maximum level and equip yourself with average gear, you will be able to participate in the Reaper's Challenge sometimes during the week (each day, a random dungeon if chosen with special modifiers, and depending on the chosen dungeon the Minimum Item Level requirement changes). When you can, join a group in Protector's Enclave (zone chat/lfg chat) and do it. Alternatively, and highly recommended, join an active and cooperative guild, they will gladly take you! Once you finish the Reaper's Challenge, exchange the token you received for the Greater Shard of Empowerment (the orange one) and sell it in the Auction House (the price varies between 85k to 100k AD)
3rd: Guild Marks (Mastercraft Profession Materials). This is an easy way to get AD, but it requires some (months!) patience to get the maximum earning. You DONT have to wait months, but then you earn significantly less. The process is simple: perform activities that generate guild marks (influence quests, donate campaign resources, vouchers, etc). Buy the Exploration Scrolls from the Generalist Vendor within the guild Stronghold. Right now, (14 of July of 2022) the newest scrolls are from New Sharandar. You have 3 types, 1 for each gate in Sharandar. Buy the one to which you have access or you deem to be most profitable. Go to Shrandar, double click them, and loot the spots on map that the quest shows you. IMPORTANT: Waiting for the Double Professions event, will yield you double of the materials. Additionally, joining a guild with the Treasure Boon will also double the rewards. This means, if you are patient, you can quadruple (4x) the amount of materials you get from each scroll. Once you are done with the scrolls, you can sell the materials for AD at the auction house
4th: VIP: the daily lockbox key: If you enjoy the game and can afford it, you can purchase the VIP from the ZEN store. This status grants you many benefits, being the most important, a daily lockbox key. With this key, you can open lockboxes that provide you with premium resources such as the Tarmalune Trade Bars, and sometimes very rare drops (e.g. mythic mounts or companions). The trade bars are a very flexible resouce that you can use to advance your own character (by purchasing companion or mount upgrade tokens) or to generate additional AD. To generate AD with the tarmalune bars, you can purchase consumable items such as Scrolls of Life or Mass Scrolls of life and sell them in the AD, and also equipment items like artifacts and companions. All these items are unbound and can be sold. Important: if you are patient, the game has an event Trade Bar Discount, where all bar costs are lowered by 25% allowing you to buy more things.
Additionally, depending on the lockbox you open, sometimes you will get other items you can sell to players (e.g. Genie's Gift)
5th Events (consumables, companions, fashions). Another simple way to earn extra AD is to participate in the events. You earn the event currency and then buy an unbound item you can sell (e.g. companion, mount, fashion item, event food). Important: make sure it is unbound upon purchase(!). Also, participating with more than 1 character increases your earnings in the majority of events.
6th Chest drops from the Dungeons and some rewards from the Heroic Encounters (HE): This one is also a very simple way to earn extra AD. As you play and finish dungeons, sometimes unbound items will drop (e.g. mounts), you can sell them if your don't need them.
Additionally, certain the heroic encounters of certain zones drop items, for instance, Dragon Vale. Doing HEs there mostly certainly result in getting some rings, shirts and pants you can sell!
That is it! I hope this guide will help you get started and with time you will learn about other ways, like re-selling (market swapping, etc).

edit 2:by an unfortunate coincidence, today (14 of July) the Reaper's Challenge store was changed and the Shards of Empowerement became Bound to Account when purchased. Interestingly, this change is not mentioned in the patch notes. This unmentioned change extinguished my hope in transparency, and now I believe I am harming the Neverwinter community for providing advice how to advance their characters and stay in NWO. I am now forced to use others means to help the community and not the forums. My mess, I apologize. They were ALWAYS Bound to account!
