Not earning any progress on the siege battlefield map

I don't earn any progress (formerly overlevel reward) on the siege battlefield event map. Even after doing the 3 minor and 2 epic heroic encounters the progress percentage was at the same number it was when I entered the map. I also killed a ton of enemies in the progress with a lot of them having mor than rank 1 difficulty.
