Are Defense Supplies useless now?

I have 93 Defense Supplies from the last time I participated in a Siege event, however the "vendor" for those has been removed from PE with the shift to Appointment Events.

Are those just useless now?

    Pretty much unless dev changes their mind. This is 2nd siege that does not have Defense supplies.
