Make us choose companions like mounts

I really like the change where we now can use any mount without it affecting the power/stats that comes with a specific mount.

I would like this system be implemented for companions. There are so many good looking companions, but if you want to be BiS you are locked in on one or maybe a handful of companions to use as the summoned. There is no diversity.

I asked the same question a couple of months back and was told it wasnt possible. [That was by players rather than official Devs though]

    I LOVE this idea

Companions fight in their own term, style and timing. A tiger does a spin attack or shooting arrow would look funny if not awful.

That was the whole point, if you chase something, then sometimes you never get it. uh huh if you put forth to work and all the attitude, next you know it's bestowed upon you." -- Michael Jordan

Could at least work on augment pets? :o
Like If I have the owl bear cub, I should be able to use any of the companion "skins" without them fighting etc. Just as follower. :P

The devs said a long time ago that WoTC would not allow them to do that, due to the companions having unique looks in both games(tabletop and Neverwinter).

They COULD allow us to have a companion that shows up whenever there’s no combat. Like in PE. It would be like a vanity pet for show. But it would allow the 100s of companions to be shown off and have a use
Did you really think anyone could steal the power of the god of thieves?

Sometimes I just summon a different companion in PE...
Yesterday I wondered if a companion that went round picking up loot would be useful... must have been in a tidying mood 🙂

I think you already have a name for this companion, Roomba. :)
