R.I.P. Day Of The Dungeon Master

The changes ruined a once good thing. It was once a fun event, that everyone took part of, that had chances of nice chest rewards. Now its a get in and get out as fast as possible.
Another one bites the dust. Sad.

Still remember the first iteration and the good reviews it got. Because it was a completely different experience and a nice distraction from whatever grind you were on at that time. Just a true original.

Truth is they do not have the resources to maintain these type of events at all. I'm assuming that's why they've consolidated a bunch to the Appointment events. The setup is always the same and you only have one store to update every now and then. I personally think it's fine as long as the rewards are somewhat decent, but I can also see why people might be looking for another experience from events.

Anyone else having issues getting a character into the burrow down inn? I can only get 1 character in and its not the character I have been running these type of events on.

It's a known issue. They're working on it.
I'm not looking for forgiveness, and I'm way past asking permission. Earth just lost her best defender, so we're here to fight. And if you want to stand in our way, we'll fight you too.

Well, i'd like to know what's the point of removing rewards from those repeatable quests? I mean, you get nothing from them any more, not even a few silver coins or at least some bound to account buff food...

And only the event dungeon with the traps is working for the daily event quest right now, i guess that will change during the second and third week of the event, would be nice if the daily event quest description would reflect that.

Last but not least, why leave a reward chest at the end of the event dungeon when we can't even open/loot it? :|

I have mixed feelings. For years I ran this for hours on end and never got a beholder personal tank. So, I like knowing I can finally get one from running content. But a part of me misses farming the event hoping to get a drop. Now, I get in, run my daily, and get out. And I was really looking forward to doing the campaign again for the rewards on another character.

I've only been playing since February. I didn't experience this event any other way than it is now. I agree it kind of sucks. It's a chore I don't really look forward to doing. The extra quests doing the evaluation things only gave decent rewards once now they're only giving me one jadeite each and the footrace is such a long wait for the race to start every time I've tried it I don't even bother going over there anymore I grab the quest, go in, do the dungeon que, and leave.

The one time the race did actually start it sucked because I had no clue where I was supposed to go or what I was supposed to do. By the time I figured out which direction I was supposed to go and that I had to shoot the dummy to open the gate to get lost and not know where to go again the race was over, I failed, it threw me out and there was no time trial like the NPC explained there would be.
