I Got a Starter Collar!

I hate that this feels like a huge accomplishment, but it does.
After about fourteen months of playing this game - and having spent zen on 20 collars for 4 characters - I just got my first starter collar as a drop in a skirmish.
If I had waited to build up collars from within the game, I would now have 1 Rank 0 collar for 4 characters.
You can count the days I haven't playing in the last 14 months on one hand. And I thrive on random queues.
It's not for lack of trying.
How many people out there have actually built up any number of collars from treasure drops? How long did it take to get them?
