Appearance library: cancelling color change sometimes copies another slots color to the selected one

There is something weird going on with the color picker in the appearance library. I just noticed it, so I thought it might be related to the companion powers disappearing/unequipping: it is as if something is being moved to a slot where it should not be. But it might not be related at all!

There are three colors for each gear slot, lets call them A(venturine) for primary, B(lack) for secondary and C(hillwind) for accent.
steps to reproduce:
1. (Might not be needed to see the bug: convert a wearable piece of gear to appearance library and select it there.)
2. Select colors A, B and C in the three color slots. Close the color selection window.
3. Click the primary color slot that has color A in it, to open the color selection window.
4. Click the arrow to the right to go to secondary color (that has B ).
5. Click cancel (without selecting anything).
6. Expected: the colors not to change and still be ABC. What happened: color A got applied to the secondary slot: colors are now AAC.
This can be done with any color and between any two slots. Try clicking the arrow twice before cancelling changes the last slot into the first color too, while the in-between one isn't changed.
