Turned down in game sounds in Neverwinter now I can't get them back

Hi,

I turned down the in game sounds across the board using the in game options and now raising them up or resetting to defaults has no effect. My headset works perfectly well in other games and in Windows 10 but not in Neverwinter. I have done a Neverwinter file verification check and all looks OK. The headset uses a green and pink 3.5mm jack to connect to the motherboard sound chip via audio ports on the motherboard backpanel. I am using the latest chip drivers available details:

Version 6.0.9244.1
2021/12/27 578.01 MBytes
Realtek Audio Driver V6.0.9244.1 For Windows 10/11 64-bit.
Support SS3VAC+DTSS Models

I have tried uninstalling the driver and reinstalling still no sounds. As the problems seem to be occuring in Neverwinter and nowhere else I am logging it as a bug

Regardless of the bug, and in general the sound selection issues that exist for years now without a fix, you can try these workarounds:

In game settings, go to the output dropdown, and select stuff exit the game, relog check if you hear stuff, repeat.

Or option 2, find the game dir, you can find it by going to the launcher-> options, there at the bottom you will see the installation dir,
go to that dir and follow to \Neverwinter\Live\localdata
    you will see a
    gameprefs.pref
    file.

    Delete it.

It will reset the game settings.
