Game freezes when loading character

Been happening all week, quitting game usually fixes it but sometimes it doesn't. I'm just left with the same black screen with the loading symbol frozen but music still playing

I have 53 character slots and this happens once or twice each cycle. It helps when I camp all of them in the same location as it's more prevalent when switching zones between characters. It also largely goes away if I pause for a second or three after changing characters on the main screen before entering the world. But I have also had it happen on the very first character of the day too.

This has been a thing for a very long time, since at the very least the release of Avernus.

The only way to near 100% avoid it is to only log out in PE.

It can occur on any loading screen that isn't to a solo instanced area.
