Wyvern-Venom Coated Knives shoot backwards

Very often when using this artifact against a single target the character turns around and shoots the knives in the wrong direction, missing the target.
In particular, this happens when tanking the 1st and 2nd bosses in VoS close to the edge of the arena. The problem does not seem to occur when looking vertically into the ground.
In general, the auto-targeting on the directional skills (such as paladin's Radiant Charge and some other artifacts) is very bad and I wish they would just fire where pointed to.
