Companion Equipment Binding Issues.

Hello,
I noticed the other day that the binding status on a piece of my companion equipment the "Spiked Ring of the Companion" has been changed from Bound to Account (BTA) into Bound to Character (BTC).
Initially I received this piece of companion equipment from a free gift box and it was BTA.
I placed two runestones in the item that are BTC and used it for a while on my OP.
I would now like to use the item on another character on my account but even though I have removed the BTC runestones from the item, it has changed the binding of the item itself to BTC.
I have been told by a few friends and alliance mates that this issue has also happened to them, not only with the 1350 Companion Equipment Choice Pack gear but also with some of the Sharandar companion equipment.

I have submitted a ticket with customer support and was told the following:
"Based on the information you supplied, it looks like the issue is the result of a bug. Sadly, player support can't change the bound status on an item. While I don't have a fix for you, I'll gather the details that you've given to me and pass them on for further investigation. You can also post about this issue on the official bug reports forum: https://www.arcgames.com/en/forums/neverwinter#/categories/bug-reports-pc. Any updates about gameplay bugs would be posted on the news page."

So here I am, posting a bug report on a bug that will most likely go unacknowledged and unfixed lol.
I do appreciate the honest response from support and understand that there may be certain limitations to their capabilities.
However if the bind status of an item itself cannot be changed would it not be a reasonable solution to issue a replacement companion equipment choice pack to replace the defective "bugged" item? IMHO that would be the right thing to do.
From now on I will be deleting any character bound items to prevent this issue from occurring again lol.
