Upgrading enchants all have 150 limit!?!?!

Ok guys I understand using a a primative mote to upgrade a legacy enchant to a mythic enchant should have a attempt limit of 150 but upgrading a blue to a purple enchant has the same attempt limit, REALLY?!?! That needs to be corrected. How can lesser iL players ever get built up when the cost is so high to upgrade. This needs to be changed.

Should be like:

Blue to Purple 50
Purple to Legacy 100
Legacy to Mythic 150

That would be alot more reasonable.

It is not. It depends on the quality of your mote. It has nothing to do with the color of the enchantment. Mote is a "requirement" for upgrading enchantment. Unlike ward, it is not optional for enchantment upgrade. You specify the possibility through the mote. Without it, for enchantment, it is 0%. Hence, you need to provide a mote to proceed.

One may wait for the mote which is higher than 1% and some got better mote from drop already.
    Primitive mote is 1%.
    C mote is 100%.
There are others which are in between.

In AH, there is standard mote which is 2%, improved mote for 5%.
Cost you an arm or leg at the moment (better getting a c-mote instead).

The current r1 is an upgrade of r15 used to be. Upgrade to r15 was 1% already.

The counter does not change if you use a better mote than 1%. Only option is to use coalescent mote for 100%. Use a 5% mote, it does not have a counter on 30, it is 150. So the RNG of the old days is back. Can use 5% mote and still use 100+ chances with their RNG system.

Then, my question is: will it increase 5 per failure (for the 5% mote)?

No the 5% is just the chance, the counter is still defaulted like you are doing 1% every time on the counter. So if you fail 30 times on 5% mote, it doesnt have a counter correlating at 30 streak breaker(like 5% were), its 150 counter. So the RNG can be like 4 years ago, take 100+ tries on 5-10% chance, or 16 straight fails on 30% chance.

    Got it. Thanks.
As you said, it is like 4 years ago.
The difference is there was no max failure 4 years ago, now, there is a 150 max failure regardless the chance.
4 years ago, there is a chance and no max failure.
From then to mod 21, chance and max failure are tied together.
Now, chance and max failure are separated again.

Maximum chance of burning up to 450 PW's (if protecting 3 reagents) which is not worth it. Not even protecting yourself 1 is worth it for the price of PW these days.
It will be funny days after next Tuesday =)

If it works right and if you protect all 3, when it fails, it should only take one p-ward.
If it works right and if you protect one (such as GoP), when it fails, it should take one of three randomly. If it picks GoP, you lose one p-ward. If it picks gold, you lose gold and no p-ward is taken.

Of course, it does not work right at the moment.
