outrageous cost for improved bag of holding ( 42 slot ) in bazaar

Hi , the baseline price for the above bag is 1 million AD ( 42 slot version ) through the bazaar ( latest promotion ) however the 60 slot version through the Zen market ( 500 Zen ) for an equivalent price of 375,000 AD .

Now we can see that Cryptic is having a serious laugh at us .
What gives ???????

It is for people who has tons of AD and don't want to wait for 6+ months to convert that to Zen. If you are not part of that group, this is not for you.

500 Zen is not 375K AD. It is 375K AD + 6+ months for those who are not Zen rich.

With VIP, the 42 slot bag in AD store is 750K AD.

That's NOT the point . As shown by the equivalent baseline price it is 1 million AD for a 42 slot bag and 375K AD for the Zen equivalent for a 60 slot .
The fact that people may not have the Zen to buy the 60 slot bad is IRREVELANT . It is a SEVERE price discrepancy .

Also currently you can buy a 60 slot bag through the AH for 528K AD so why buy a lesser slot bag for 1million AD - if the person doesn't have VIP ?

edit : also it's more than about time they either retire the " improved bag of holding " or at least change the name as the improved version has less slots so it's a misleading title ( obviously this improved bag was available BEFORE the 60 slot version but surely QC should have flagged the misleading wording at some point in the past ) .

Sure, there is a discrepancy. Hence, you should not buy it. Always check AH, Zen store and AD store and find the cheapest for you. There is always price discrepancy among them. This is not the first item and not the last one.

I think this is a good thing, that is my opinion. As I study the backlog of +9 months and growing, there is a need for AD sinks. Your choice at present is to wait between 9 months to a year on that AD to convert to zen, or buy it now. The other option of course is to pay cash.

I don't have VIP but I can assure you that within 10 days I can have 1 million AD. The rough AD refinement cap is 100K and last I checked my math 100K x 10 is 1 million. Playing the game for 10 days for a free bag is a pretty sweet deal from my perspective.

There is also the assumption that the devs care what the zax rate and time requirement to make use of the zax currently is at.

The company cares about income. That means people buying zen. Not what they do with that zen once they buy it.

Frankly I am surprised its still even a thing.

And yes a big slot bag for 1m is pretty cheap really.

2. a 60 slot bag is 569K AD in AH (the price could be changed .... soon?)

So, relatively, the 42 slot bag for 1 million is not exactly cheap currently.

Well, we got quite a few big bags for free last year, and i even got a 60 slot bag for 250k AD when the Knox Box was released into the game, and the Knox Box will return again at some point...

So, 1m AD for an outdated bag is not really a good deal.

Fair enough i was thinkign in terms of just "a decent bag" for ten days minor grind sounds ok to me.

If you can get a better bag for less grind then yes, I totally agree with you both

Well, Adventurer's Support Pack might also be worth a look in case you have a few bag slots filled with something that has less then 36 slots, 300-500k a piece, content is one Runic Bag of Holding plus extras that might be of some help in the new mod.
