Fishing in Winter event has odd behaviours

The QER dance when fishing has some annoying behaviours. In particular when the key moves from one to another (say Q to R), it will occasionally blink the old key briefly before lighting up the new one, which typically causes a mis-key to occur with the accompanying penalty. Sometimes it will switch before the old key has refreshed. That feels like it should not be on a random timer.
