Minstrel (Bard)

I played Minstrel for a while and found it out really laking when more needed. I understand that every healer has it's place in this game and this ones place it's of the steroids dealer.
With that being said, let me explain what I (my general opinion, please refute it or add your ideas if you think it would be better) would change about it and what i would not.

First of all, the tab mechanic.
Tab, imput a song manually cuz you want that storyteller feat to play. Wait 1 to 2 seconds. Tab, repeat. Wait 1 to 2 seconds. Tab, repeat.
If the main reason for the cancel of the tab is in case you have Delayed Play + Vamp, then put a Encounter Power in Performance and let us decide when to tab in or out of the performance. Other is to take the two sloted songs and put them on the mouse as at-wills. Hunters have 20 encounters, so bard that spend A LOT of time on performance mode could use something like that.
And the fact that you need to re-tab every single song it's a pace breaker.


At-Wills:

Fleche:
Why? Why that long slow animation in the last attack? Good to have it around for boss fights if can afford to hit instead of buff/heal.

Arpeggio:
Sometimes it's cancel itself. I aim my target, press the buttom and i can't see it's life go up until i realize i am not healing. Not even myself, even tho we are nearly next to eachother.
Overall a good enough healing at-will when you don't want to burn that much resources.

Phantasmal Concerto:
It can't be maintained after enemies in range in die. You can cast it without enemies around, but the moment the enmies in range die, it cancels itself, even tho the next in range mob is one step ahead.
Only good at-will to grind AP, if there is a pack of mobs. Not good in combination with Aurora Fantasia.

Encounters:
Less than the other classes. 4 general and 3 specific ones.

Serenade:
Only good in trials with just ONE tank where you leave the actual healing to the other healer. Why? Cuz of Defender's Minuete. You want that mega heal to hit the tank and not a dps that has 0.1% less hp than the tank.
If we are a buffer class, this could be changed to dmg% reduced instead of 5% extra heal or 50% after 2 seconds of chaneling and a tab.
Sad thing is, i don't even use it.

Delayed Play:
Great encounter. Lifesaver when you can't use resources to try to proc vamp in a pinch and need an emergency heal.

Basseline:
I would make it so you can actually see your Performance increase as you play it and that if you get CC or need to roll away, instead of canceling it, it will proc where you leave it. Lost a LOT of time trying to use just to get cancelled cuz i was one pixel inside a red area or needed to roll fast and it didn't counted that i removed my finger from the key.


Forte:
I have so many problems with this little thing. In the Character Sheet it says "power" but in the Powers Tab it says "performance regen". Thing is, if i am not wrong it gives power instead Performance Regen.
It would be really helpfull if you could add a "Performance/Divinity/Soulweave Regen rating" in the Character Sheet under Boosts so we can have an actual idea if we are really getting it.


Songs:
Will put the ones i feel they need a change.

Rejuvenating Carol:
200 mag heal every 3-4 seconds and i heal for around 35k. Since there is gear that requires you to heal your target for 10%-15% to have a small chance to proc a special effect/power, this doesn't help.
That 35k comes from non scalled content, with 38% Incoming Healing, 67% Outgoing healing, a crit heal with 72% crit sev, 56% power and Flourish.
A 50-100 mag increase would be appreciated.
Other way, since you made them as a Buffer class, it's to add a special Buff for the duration of the song. It could even be "% Incoming Healing" or a "X% dmg reduction" just as Blaze Flamenco it's %dmg for the team.

Warding Carol:
Only used it in 2 fights (both related to SKT) and to use Courtain Call (if i have the time to tab that much in a rush). Again, a buff would make it more usable. Heck, even a debuff.

Aurora Fantasia:
When i read "Whenever you attack" i thought to myself "cool, i can use this + Phantasmal Concerto to keep a good constant heal in mob fights!" but i soon realized it is not "attack per objective" but attack as in "per animation". So even if i use it with 10 mobs at the same time, it will only proc one time (might be wrong but i even saw it two times) per animation.
Really good if you don't want to use Phantasmal Concerto to gain AP.
Wouldn't change it tbh, it's more of a Tab problem than the power itself.

Sheltering Etude:
You know it's bugged right? When re-aplying it, it does not trigger the old one and put the new one. It just refresh the timer.
I would love the timer to be in the same place as the other songs, but it doesn't really change that much tbh. After all i still need to watch all the screen to avoid red floors, my team hp, if my buffs reached them and the like.


Class Features:

Arpeggio Fortissimo:
A lovely animation perfect to kill time or making videos. Not good nor recommended for fights. Not even using a Feat. You will literally burn your Performance faster trying to heal with this than with any other. 60 performance per 100 mag heal it's like paying 1 million AD for 1 copper coin.

Vamos Allá!:
Never used it, but sounds pretty good if you are speed running.

Play It Back:
Love it. Just like Vamp it procs when you least need it, but awesome Class Feature.

Starstruck:
Don't care what ppl say, it's a must have since HoT are trash. I would love, tho, to know the % of the proc and the heals.


Feats:
Crescendo and Diminuendo:
Tbh, i just choosed Crescendo cuz i don't use Arpeggio Fortissimo in fights.

Art of War:
Not worth it. Soulweaver have something like that and it isn't worth it neither. Why, would a healer, WASTE resources on dps? More in a Minstrel that 80% of the time will be tabbing to keep hp up or buffs from drop below 10s. We ain't gonna burn our Performance for a little dmg that most times we won't be using on a power that we don't have the luxury to slot if we want to maximize our healing.

Rhapsody At Arms:
Picked it cuz i didn't want to waste my Performance, but there isn't any single icon to tell me if it's actually working. You can change it to give 1% dmg dealt, reduced dmg taken and healing for the whole party and don't worry to rework the other powers.

Vamp:
Love it, core power. That 20% is painfull tho and i would LOVE if a vamp icon could appear next to my other songs timers. Sometimes you use it after a couple of seconds to early in fear it will dissapear or wait 1 second to long and lose it. A visual timer would be great.

Sudden Muse:
I don't feel it's worth in any case. Between the chance of a free heal and the chance of an extended low HoT with no real buff on it, a 25% extra single heal or a bugged heal and a free dps song... Yeah, free big working heal is better.
This could be changed to double both duration and magnitude of the songs. But even then, it can't beat a free big nasty heal. A buff/debuff might make ppl change it's mind.

Desperate Finale:
Can't complain. If you proc it it's cuz either the team did an "oopsie" or the content has heavy dmg that wasn't made with the thought that a low HoT and slow Big heal class would be created.

Pianissimo:
I guess it's good for low dungs? Less heals but at least more often. By the name of the feat you would think it's a buff but it's nothing great. Maybe the perfect partner of Sudden Muse.

Storyteller:
The only relevant Feat that makes you feel like a true Buffer.

Gambler:
Not worth in any situation. Would you preffer a chance or a certain? If it influenced on the drop or chests (like a real gambler) i see why use it. But it's just a "nope".


Overall, since the idea is making it a buffer, i would give it more or constant buffs. And please, for the X time (i trully lost count), please make the Performance/Soulweave/Divinity a visual bar for everyone in the party as tanks has.
The meta it's just a guideline. And guidelines are boring.

    I assume you mean the Bard. The Minstrel is a companion.

    Minstrel it's the healer path of the Bard. But yeah, i guess i should add "Bard" in the title to avoid more confusion.
    The meta it's just a guideline. And guidelines are boring.

    For me it's another healer I can't be bothered with. Haven't really done any healing since M16 hit.
