Dwarves can't use the Sunsword

thomasisalonethomasisalone Member Posts: 78 Arc User
Maybe the sunsword isn't so nice a guy afterall, because it can't be yielded by players who are using the dwarf race while in the Castle Ravenloft dungeon.

Reproducing is pretty simple:
1) Be on a character who is using the dwarf race
2) Try to pick up the sword in Castle Ravenloft

I've experience and seen this bug happening while as a fighter (both dps and tank), but I'm not certain if it applies to other classes.

    Jump over it.
I'm not looking for forgiveness, and I'm way past asking permission. Earth just lost her best defender, so we're here to fight. And if you want to stand in our way, we'll fight you too.

This bug happens with all classes. I think it happens because dwarfs are bit shorter than other races. So I think this bug can also happens with halfling race (need to check).

To pick the sword simply step on it instead of pressing F.

You must first convince yourself that it is an Axe / hammer.

I've done a few CRs since reading this, and jumping over the sword did work. You need to be next to the sword already, then jump over/on top of it.

I should point out, my dwarf toon is the tallest you can make it. The issue then seems to be that the hitbox for the sword is higher up than dwarves (and probably halflings).

I checked this bug on halfling: halflings are bit higher than dwarves, so halflings could pickup sword without jumping, but they need to stay very close to the sword (in the same point).

I've never had to jump over it, I just run over it to pick it up.
Apparently pointing-out the bleeding obvious is a 'personal attack'.

You must be at least 1.7m tall to ride.
