IWD - Local Luminaries - Dismount problem

hexngone#5489 hexngone Member Posts: 370 Arc User
Expected Behavior:
I can speak to each NPC in the quest and go through dialog clicks without dismounting. This allows me to quickly go from one NPC to the next and complete the quest with minimal button clicks.

Actual Behavior:
After receiving the quest you follow the trail to Eglendar at the Hook, Line and Sinker. When you interact with him you are dismounted. After speaking with him you need to move quite a distance away before you are allowed to summon a mount and ride to the next NPC. ***All the other NPCs in this quest Do Not Dismount you when you speak with them*** Eglendar is the only one that does .... which makes me think this needs to be corrected so they all work in a consistent manner.

Please correct the Eglendar interaction so the player is not dismounted to interact with his dialog.

Thank You.

You are dismounted when you enter the tavern. It isn't because of Eglender.

While getting rid of the dismount would be great, so would getting rid of the idiotic Return on Investment quest. A few years ago, they made it able to be abandoned but it should just be disabled.

You don't enter the tavern to speak to Eglender, he is outside on a platform. You just ride up and click

Ah, yes, no door, but when you cross the threshold, before you speak to him, you are auto-dismounted.

The owner does not want your mount in his property. He spend a lot for that interlock stone flooring. It is not an NPC issue. It has been like that since that map exists.

It's been like that since Icewind Dale was created. It's because you are considered inside a building. We've been dealing with it for years and years.
Apparently pointing-out the bleeding obvious is a 'personal attack'.
