Not so much a discussion thread, more of a statement. I left the game twice in the past year for several months, only to come back. Came back about 2 months ago and have been enjoying it, but the game has become completely obsessed with getting the Bands of Air and Darkness. I lack only one reagent on my dps toon, but have become tired of running it. Most people want me to run it on tank, and I stopped doing that because there is no point for tank or heal.
It's great to have gear to strive for, but I have recorded srveral VOS runs using ACT where a DPS has Band of Air and its freaking rediculous that one piece of gear (a ring at that) does the most damage out of all their powers. This is the kind of stupid HAMSTER that will push me out of the game again soon. It will get to the point that you cant find a group to run a dungeon unless you have Band of Air, and I feel stupid even trying to get it because the dps boost people get from Band of Air has zero to do with skill or play style. It's just a passive DPS boost. Surely everyone who got good RNG and have band of air will disagree, but again, I don't really care to convice anyone, just saying that this kind of nonsense will drive me away from the game again.
