Unless that character has completed the required adventures for that level gem?

Can we get confirmation on this?

Besides affecting Dragon Hoard enchants almost everywhere, one of my 7 year old level 20 alts used a mechanical altar on a last invoke for the day, I got my 5 mechanical packs and nothing else. Supposed to get either 1 gold (a little more if you have prosperity insginias slotted) or a black pearl. Guess it was the black pearls turn because I got NOTHING extra.

    You could try in a zone which is lower than level 20... that seems to be the requirement to get any kind of drops now.

    I am trying to get Cryptic to acknowledge whether this is a bug or wai.
    Is it something they will be fixing or is this something we must live with from now on?
    Will black opals drop from Dragon Hoard enchants ever again?
    We seem to be restricted to lower level gems when we do get any.
