I'd argue that the main reason things like this are messed up is because they have too much to do!
In the last 6 months they have introduced huge changes; the combat rework / stat system, the levelling system, a new class, the 3 new Sharandar areas, the VoS dungeon, scaling in most group content etc etc.
I kinda feel sorry for the dev team, being given all this work. I suspect their leadership structure is still shaky after Chris Whiteside's departure even though I believe he was one of those leaders that was mostly 'talk' and very little 'game'.
I'd like to see them take a couple of months break from working on upcoming content and just concentrate on getting the current version working well and bug free.
They now have a huge list of things that are not WAI and this should be their priority for now.

What miffs me more is that PC gets a patch for it on Thursday but the consoles are left twisting in the wind...
The event launched at the same time across all platforms but console is getting shafted days more if not a full week more than PC with out any way of making it up.
I see it as preferential treatment. A bias towards PC. Is that necessarily correct, no. But it is my view on it.
When an event is launched across all platforms simultaneously, to patch one platform but not the others is insulting.

I believe Microsoft & Sony have certain requirements for their consoles that prevent patching on the fly without going through some form of verification process. On PC there are no such restrictions and so they are able to push out changes faster.

The problem with that is the event was released on all platforms at the same time. PC is getting extra time over consoles which is unfair to console players.
In a lot of ways it seems like punishment for being a console player.
If they can patch PC they should hold it till console can also be patched. Thus equal time across the board for all platforms with a working event.

They need PC player to test the patch for console. Just because they patch it, it does not mean it works. Many times it did not. PC filtered many bad patch for console. If there is a choice, I prefer console gets the stuff first. Beta test for us and then apply to PC. The longer the release date between PC and console, the better the console version. If one feels the quality of console release version is worse than before, I would say the main cause is they shorten the release gap.

Lulz about testing.... they release broken content to console all the time even though it's been fixed on pc, then we are stuck waiting weeks to get the same fix pc got...
There have been very few exceptions to this pattern. And the only one that I can actually think of is the ring set from hc vos. Which, thanks to pc being able to 1 phase tomm runs got nuked asap.
Otherwise no, our releases are the same broken messes that pc gets. PC just gets patched weeks earlier than console after a platform wide release. So to say you are testing on pc makes me laugh. It might have been true had the not released the same broken content to console, but they dont.
Let me be more specific: Microsoft and Sony need to make sure that a game patch won't mess up the console. If a game does that it can be delisted by them.

Again, I am aware of that. I don't fault cryptic for that. I do fault them for not doing a platform wide release of a patch to an event that was released at the same time platform wide.
Normally I couldn't care less about pc getting content first. It doesn't bother me that much. But when it's for an event that is running at the same time on all 3 platforms and only 1 of those platforms gets patched while the other 2 are forced to wait and then suffer the loss of time, which cannot be made up, I take issue. In this kind of case all 3 platforms should be treated equally otherwise it displays a clear bias towards 1 over all the others.
In order to attempt to make up the lost crafting time console players will have to burn hundreds of thousands of AD to reset their workshop moral. And thats if they can afford to do that. Many cannot. If you don't see any issue there then, well thats up to you.

There have been very few exceptions to this pattern.
They had many "exception" in that pattern in the beginning. They started to release more broken content to console AFTER they closed the gap of the release. In the beginning, there were 2 or 3 patches to PC (patch the patch of the patch) before it was passed to console.
