Bore Worm Bug?

Hi everyone
Is the Bore Worm supposed to bind on pickup when choosing it from the Apparatus pack when pulled from Wonder pack?
After 34 packs I pulled the apparatus box. Filled with joy that I got the bore Worm, to my surprise is was bound when chosen. Is it supposed to be bound as limited event item or is the new find event bugged somewhere that stops new mount from trading.
I can't find anywhere it says it's bound only until it's chosen and in my inventory.
Just curious that's all.
