Older character stranded in protectors enclave.

I made a new character a few years ago. I then took a break from the game. I recently had to urge to play again and came back. I bought a lvling weapon, mount, added stuff package and opened it all on that character.
I had one quest on her, looking at a scrying orb, and once I did that I had no quests. No one in town will give me any quests, and I've talked to every person in town. I also have no map points except for protectors enclave.
Normally I'd just delete the character and start a new (I've made others since then) but I don't want to lose the 20 dollars worth of shinys I got.
I opened a ticket and was told it was a bit and the development team will have to look into it someday and then was directed here.
So, can this be fixed or do I have a bank toon with a fancy weapon and mount?
