Damage resistance does nothing

So i went solo into tomm to try frozen galeb durh's damage resistance and i ended up trying various things that give damage resistance.
Turns out damage resistance does absolutely nothing.
The things that ive tried are:
Frozen galeb durh that gives up to 7.5% damage resistance on mythic
Ring of the overwhelmed +5 which gives 10% damage resistance while running
Paladin encounter "Absolution" which gives 20% damage resistance
Elemental earth weapon set which gives up to 25% damage resistance while standing still
None of them did anything. They didnt reduce the damage i took at all. Even the combination of "Absolution" + earthern set, for a total of 45% damage resistance, did absolutely nothing.
Please fix this. Us tanks have been forgotten for so long. Having the very few things that were supposed to help us do absolutely nothing is just insane.
