How to get stats

Hello pvpers, i am somehow trying come back to pvp after a long time and i have very hard time to understand how to get competitive stats. I thought its good time with so called combat rework and i am sure many others can find some advices usefull.

I met there players with over 40 000 power and crit ((based numbers at campfire) same class as mine for example - HR). Mine stats are 24 000 power for example and honestly i have no idea where that players get that high number. I have all radiants 14 at off, i have dark 15 at utility (forte), all what can be at strenght and boons, dominance insinia not all and maxed, thats true. Does it come from mount bolster? (i ask and he dont have power mount bonus) or from TIL? Or any other sources? My TIL without companion is 34500 so i dont think i am that weak. thanks

    Radiant enchantment, Armor kit, Artifact, Guild boon, boons, empowered runestone, insignia, companion powers. companion bolster, mount bolster. Forte (depends on the class), potions.

    i was on preview now and i figure out that combined rating is pretty nasty stat. it isnt redistributed, but the number is given to all stats, at least power, crit which i observe.

    companion bolster? at pvp? really?

    are there any cap like at pve?

    You generally will have lot of stats if you got everything maxed.

    Make sure your pet is dismissed, summoning it before you queue onto map warps your stats and makes it much harder to cap anything. Also don't bother with companion bolster.

    Might want to check extra stuff like if you have armor/jewel kits, offhand stat bonus, ect.

    Mount bolster certainly helps too.

    Pots, gear equip powers, some insignia powers are a big help too.

    Sources of forte and combined rating also helpful like from dominance insignias and darks.

    Your item level should be around 38k through 43k for best results.

    vanity pet? yeah i notice there is Imp following me around, probably vanity pet i summoned before but i dont have him neither at inventory or vanity pet tab. If this can decreasing my stats on pvp maps, then it finally explain everything. but how can i get rid of it? there is not even option to unsummon on other pets, so i probably summon him before and then discard pet to get rid of him as the only option

    I mean real companion, not vanity pet. Click summoned options in the companion tab and then click dismiss companion.

    ye, strange pvp stats caps are way higher then pve caps, so we probably need constantly changing everything, if meta is have power as high as possible
